SIL connects language communities across Uganda with a wealth of specialised expertise and resources through a global network of partnerships.
Our primary partnerships are with local language communities. Working together with many organisations, SIL helps communities across Uganda create clear, natural, and accurate language resources they can embrace and celebrate. We value the involvement of local schools and churches, regional language committees and advisory boards, and more. Our technology partners, from MegaVoice to Microsoft, are too many to list.
SIL has agreements to provide expertise, training, or consulting for language development with educational institutions and government departments. SIL International has been an official partner with UNESCO since 1993. We also partner with other like-minded organisations, committed to the social and justice needs of non-dominant language communities. SIL International is a member of the Micah Network and the Forum of Bible Agencies International.
